Regional Aluminum Product Demand Outlook for the Transportation and Construction Markets
Between North America and Europe, the automotive market has been a tale of two continents in 2010. While North America has experienced a turnaround in the industry (at least in the first quarter of 2010), Europe hasn’t shared the same experience. And as said in the “State of the Industry” article in the January 2010 edition of DIE CASTING ENGINEER, the die casting industry directly relies on the automotive industry and indirectly on the construction industry. So, while the recent surge in automotive production has been kind to North American die casters, their European colleagues have struggled. And with the construction market in both continents continuing to have issues, this has not helped their cause either.
